Fuel Tank Filler Tube

REMOVAL 

1. Remove the left rear wheelhouse splash shield. Refer to SHIELD, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
2. Remove the fuel filler housing. Refer to HOUSING, FUEL FILL, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

3. Remove the fuel tank filler tube nut securing the fuel tank filler tube to the body.

   1 - Fuel Vapor Tube Quick Connect Fitting

   2 - Fuel Tank Filler Hose

   3 - Fuel Tank Filler Hose Clamp

   4 - Fuel Tank

4. Disconnect the fuel vapor tube quick connect fitting at the fuel tank. Refer to QUICK CONNECT FITTINGS  .
5. Loosen the fuel tank filler hose clamp and disconnect the fuel tank filler hose from the fuel tank.

   3 - Fuel Vapor Tube Quick Connect Fitting

   4 - Vapor Canister

   5 - Fuel Vapor Recirculation Line Quick-Connect Fitting

6. Disconnect the fuel vapor filter hose from the ESIM.
7. Disconnect the fuel vapor tube quick connect fitting from the vapor canister. Refer to QUICK CONNECT FITTINGS  .
8. Disconnect the fuel vapor recirculation line quick connect fitting. Refer to QUICK CONNECT FITTINGS  .

9. Remove the fuel tank filler tube nuts securing the fuel tank filler tube to the body.
10. Remove the fuel tank filler tube.

INSTALLATION 

1. Install the fuel tank filler tube.
2. Install the fuel tank filler tube nuts securing it to the body and tighten the fuel tank filler tube nuts to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
3. Connect the fuel vapor recirculation line quick connect fitting. Refer to QUICK CONNECT FITTINGS  .
4. Connect the Fuel vapor tube quick connect fitting to the vapor canister. Refer to QUICK CONNECT FITTINGS  .
5. Connect the fuel vapor filter hose to the Evaporative System Integrity Monitor (ESIM).
6. Install the fuel tank filler hose to the fuel tank and securely tighten the fuel tank filler hose clamp.
7. Connect the fuel vapor tube quick connect fitting at the fuel tank. Refer to QUICK CONNECT FITTINGS  .
8. Install the fuel tank filler tube nut securing it to the body and tighten to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
9. Install the fuel filler housing. Refer to HOUSING, FUEL FILL, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
10. Install the left rear wheelhouse splash shield. Refer to SHIELD, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
