Ignition Coil: Installation

Using compressed air, blow out any dirt or contaminants from around top of spark plug.
NOTE:
Use dielectric grease on each of the spark plug boots before installing the coil.

Position the ignition coil into the valve cover and push onto the spark plugs.

Install the coil and tighten the fasteners to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
Install the ignition coil electrical connections.
Install the engine cover. Refer to COVER, ENGINE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION, 5.7L .
