Left Catalytic Converter

REMOVAL
- Remove the front belly pan. Refer to BELLY PAN, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Saturate the bolts and with Mopar® Rust Inhibitor. Allow 5 minutes for penetration.
- Remove the exhaust muffler. Refer to MUFFLER, EXHAUST, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Disconnect the oxygen sensor wire harness connectors.
1 - Catalytic Converter to Exhaust Manifold Bolts 2 - Catalytic Converter - Remove the catalytic convertor to exhaust manifold bolts and the catalytic convertor.
- If necessary, remove the oxygen sensors.
INSTALLATION
- If removed, install the oxygen sensors and tighten to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the catalytic converter and tighten the catalytic convertor to exhaust manifold bolts to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Connect the oxygen sensor wire harness connectors.
- Install the exhaust muffler. Refer to MUFFLER, EXHAUST, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Install the front belly pan. Refer to BELLY PAN, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Check the exhaust system for contact with the body panels. A minimum of 25.4 mm (1.0 in.) is required between the exhaust system components and body/frame parts. Make the necessary adjustments, if needed.
- Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
- Start the engine and inspect for exhaust leaks. Repair exhaust leaks as necessary.
