BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM)

The BCM is responsible for gating several CAN messages to support lamps and lighting operation. The BCM is also responsible for sending CAN signals to the IPC for indicator illumination and message related to the lighting system indication.
The exterior lamps and lighting system is managed by the BCM. The BCM serves as a gateway module between the various bus networks, allowing communication between all required components for lighting operation. The BCM is also the LIN master to several of the lamps and lighting components.

- Ambient temperature sensor data HRLS
- Transmission state PRNDL Display from the Transmission Control Module (TCM)
- Vehicle speed from the BSCM
- Radio Frequency-Hub requests
- Engine speed from the PCM
- Engine RPM from the PCM
- Headlamp switch - hardwired
- Hazard switch - hardwired
- Door ajar switch - hardwired
- Commanded ignition state
- HOW and HOWS internal requests
- Fog lamp command from the fog lamp switch
- Hardwired turn signal request state from the SCCM
- Theft alarm and panic states - internal logic in the BCM
- Remote start flash request from the RFH
- Brake lamp request from BSCM
- Brake pedal position status from the BSCM
