Cover, Seat Back, Power: Removal
WARNING:
Disable the airbag system before attempting any front seat diagnosis or service. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery (ground) cable and wait two minutes for the airbag system capacitor to discharge before performing further diagnosis or service. This is the only sure way to disable the airbag system. Failure to follow these instructions may result in accidental airbag deployment and possible serious or fatal injury.
- Before proceeding with the following repair procedure, review all warnings and cautions. Refer to SEATS, FRONT, WARNING .
- Remove the seat from the vehicle. Refer to SEAT, REAR, REMOVAL .
- Remove the headrest sleeves. Refer to SLEEVE, HEADREST, REAR, REMOVAL .
- Release the lower J-hook strip (2).
- Open the side zippers (1) on each side of the seat back cover.
- Lift the seat back trim slightly and remove the push fasteners (1) on each side.
- Lift the seat back trim and release the J-hook retainers (2).
- Disconnect the wire harness connector (1) for the seat heating pad, if equipped.
- Remove the seat air bag from the seat back frame, following all warnings and cautions. Refer to AIR BAG, SEAT, REMOVAL

- Using a trim tool, unclip the vent pad (3) from the vent motor (1).
- Remove the seat back foam and seat back cover as an assembly, from the seat back frame.
- Pull the seat back cover (2) away from the seat foam (1) cutting the hog rings and remove.
