Cam, Turn Signal Cancel: Description

The clockspring mechanism provides turn signal cancellation as well as a constant electrical connection between the rotating electrical components on the steering wheel and the instrument panel wire harness on the steering column. The multi-function switch and the housing of the clockspring are secured to the steering column and remain stationary. The rotor of the clockspring, including the turn signal cancel cam lobes, rotate with the steering wheel.

The turn signal, the wiper and clockspring and cannot be repaired individual. If ineffective or damaged, the Steering Column Control Module (SCCM) must be replaced.
