Slider Rear Seat

NOTE:

The 40% slider rear seat can be removed without removing the 60% slider rear seat. If the 60% slider rear seat is to be removed, the 40% slider rear seat must be removed first.

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
  2. Position the 40% slider rear seat in the full rearward position.

  3. Remove the fastener cover (1), then remove the seat fastener (2).

  4. Remove the fastener cover (4), then remove the fasteners (2) and the trim cover (3).
  5. Remove the necessary seat fasteners (1).

  6. Using a proper sized drill, remove the rivet (2) to separate the 40% seat (1) and 60% seat (3).
    NOTE:

    A new rivet will need to be installed during seat installation.

  7. Position the seats to the full forward position and fold the seat backs forward.
  8. If equipped, disconnect the wire harness connector (2) for the side being serviced.
    NOTE:

    If servicing both seats, disconnect all of the wire harness connectors.

  9. Remove the fasteners (4) that fastens the rear of the seat tracks together.
  10. Remove the seat fasteners (1) for the side being serviced.
    NOTE:

    If servicing both seats, remove all of the rear seat fasteners.

  11. Remove the 40% rear seat (5).
  12. If necessary, remove the 60% rear seat (3).
