Body - Interior & Exterior: Hood: Hood: Removal

NOTE:

Right hand shown, left hand similar.

1. Open the hood.
2. Mark the outline of the hinges (1) on the inside of hood to aid installation.
3. Disconnect the windshield washer hose from hood.
4. Disconnect the under hood lamp wire connector to the engine compartment wire harness if equipped.
5. Remove the top fasteners (3) attaching the hood to the hinge (1) and loosen the bottom fasteners (2) until they can be removed by hand.
6. With assistance from a helper at the opposite side of the vehicle to support the hood, remove the bottom fasteners (2) attaching the hood to hinge.
7. Remove the hood from the vehicle.
8. Transfer parts as necessary.
