Housing, Fuel Fill: Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove right rear wheel. Refer to REMOVAL .
  3. Remove right rear wheelhouse splash shield. Refer to SHIELD, SPLASH, REAR WHEELHOUSE, REMOVAL .

  4. From inside the wheelhouse disconnect the wire harness connector (1), if equipped.
  5. Disconnect the vent tube (2).

  6. Remove the bracket fastener (1) from the filler tube.

  7. Release the tabs (1) from the inside of the wheelhouse.

  8. Remove the fuel filler housing (2) from the vehicle opening (3).
