Fender, Front: Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the engine belly pan. Refer to BELLY PAN, REMOVAL .
  3. Remove the wheel opening flare moldings. Refer to MOLDING, REAR WHEEL OPENING, REMOVAL .
  4. Remove the fasteners (1) from the upper fascia closeout panel (2).
  5. Remove the upper fascia closeout panel (2) from the vehicle.

  6. Partially remove the front fascia (1) on the side of the vehicle being worked on. Refer to FASCIA, FRONT, REMOVAL .
  7. Remove the headlamp unit on the side of the vehicle being worked on, (Refer to REMOVAL .

  8. Remove the foam pad from inside the rear of the fender cavity.
  9. From inside the wheel opening remove the upper fastener (1) to the cowl panel.
  10. Remove the body sealer and remove the fastener (2).

  11. With the door open remove the upper (1) and lower (3) fender fasteners.
  12. Remove the front fasteners (2).

  13. Remove the upper fasteners (1) and remove the fender.
