Removal And Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2019 RAM 3500 HD and 2019 RAM 2500 HD. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

REMOVAL 

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable(s). Refer to BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT .
  2. Lower the headliner to gain access to the microphone. Refer to HEADLINER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

  3. Pull back the foam covering the microphone wire harness connector and disconnect the wire harness connector (1).

  4. Disengage the retainer securing the microphone (1) to the trim cover.
  5. Remove the microphone from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION 

  1. Position the microphone to the trim cover.
  2. Install the microphone and carefully engage the retainer.
  3. Connect the microphone wire harness connector, and reposition the foam over the wire harness connector.
  4. Install headliner. Refer to HEADLINER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  5. Connect the negative battery cable(s). Refer to BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT .
