When Monitored

This diagnostic runs continuously when the following conditions are met:
- When shifter is in the DRIVE position.
- Transmission oil temperature is above a calibrated value.
- No clutch slip control functions commanded.
- No Input Speed Sensor signal Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) set.
- Input Speed Sensor signal is above a calibrated value.
- Output Speed Sensor signal is valid or the output speed can be calculated from the wheel speed Controller Area Network (CAN) signal if the Output Speed Sensor signal is not available.
- Engine speed signal via CAN or Output Speed Sensor signal is above a calibrated value.
- When a gear shift is in progress:
- The output speed and the output speed gradient must be higher than a calibrated value.
- When a gear is engaged:
- The absolute value of the input speed gradient and pedal position must be lower than their respective calibrated values.
- When shifter is in the Reverse position:
- No Input Speed Sensor signal Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) set.
- No malfunction in at least one of the Output Speed signal or Engine Speed signal.
- No clutch slip control functions commanded.
- Fixed gear is engaged.
