Standard Procedure: Initialization

NOTE:

The following initialization procedure applies to both the sunroof and the power sunshade. For the sunroof, operate button (1a). For the power sunshade, operate button (2a).

NOTE:

Following disconnection of the battery, a blown fuse or the disconnection of the sunroof motor or sunshade motor, the sunroof or the sunshade motor must be initialized again. Proceed as indicated below.

NOTE:

If at any point during the following procedures the sunroof or sunshade does not respond as expected, or the procedure is interrupted, restart the procedure at Step 1.

NOTE:

Sunroof steps listed. Sunshade procedure is exactly the same but the using operation button (1b).

  1. Activate the sunroof movement button (1a) in the closing position and hold it there until the sunroof is completely closed.
  2. Then, without releasing the button, wait for the click (metallic noise) of the motor (approximately 5 seconds after closing) and release the button.
  3. Within 5 seconds, operate the button (1a) in the closing position again and hold it there for the entire sunroof opening and closing cycle.
  4. Release the button after the sunroof has closed completely.
  5. The initialization procedure is complete.
