Standard Procedure: Initialization

NOTE:
The following initialization procedure applies to both the sunroof and the power sunshade. For the sunroof, operate button (1a). For the power sunshade, operate button (2a).
NOTE:
Following disconnection of the battery, a blown fuse or the disconnection of the sunroof motor or sunshade motor, the sunroof or the sunshade motor must be initialized again. Proceed as indicated below.
NOTE:
If at any point during the following procedures the sunroof or sunshade does not respond as expected, or the procedure is interrupted, restart the procedure at Step 1.
NOTE:
Sunroof steps listed. Sunshade procedure is exactly the same but the using operation button (1b).
- Activate the sunroof movement button (1a) in the closing position and hold it there until the sunroof is completely closed.
- Then, without releasing the button, wait for the click (metallic noise) of the motor (approximately 5 seconds after closing) and release the button.
- Within 5 seconds, operate the button (1a) in the closing position again and hold it there for the entire sunroof opening and closing cycle.
- Release the button after the sunroof has closed completely.
- The initialization procedure is complete.
