Diagnostic Test

CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE DTC
1. Turn the ignition on.
2. With the scan tool, create a Vehicle Scan Report and attach it to the repair order.
3. With the scan tool, read the Left Blind Spot Sensor (LBSS) DTCs.
  Is the DTC active?
  
  Yes
  - Go To Step 2.
  No
  - Perform the TESTING FOR AN INTERMITTENT CONDITION procedure. Refer to TESTING FOR AN INTERMITTENT CONDITION .
CHECK LEFT BLIND SPOT SENSOR VIN
1. Connect the diagnosis equipment to the Left Blind Spot Sensor and check the Current VIN and the Original VIN.
  Is the Current VIN and Original VIN the same?
  
  Yes
  - Replace the Left Blind Spot Sensor in accordance with the Service information. Refer to SENSOR, BLIND SPOT, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  - Perform the Body VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
  No
  - Because the current and original VIN numbers do not match, check recent repair work that has been performed; and if this part was swapped from another vehicle. Install the original parts to their corresponding vehicles.
  - If parts have been returned to their correct vehicles, turn the ignition from "OFF" to "ON" two times. Return to Step 1.
  - For all other conditions, replace the Left Blind Spot Sensor in accordance with the Service information. Refer to SENSOR, BLIND SPOT, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  - Perform the Body VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
