Diagnostic Test

- CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE DTC
- With the scan tool, read PAM DTCs and record on the repair order.
- With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
- Using the recorded Environmental Data, along with the When Monitored and Set Conditions above, operate the vehicle in the conditions that set the DTC.
- With the scan tool, read PAM DTCs.
Did the DTC return?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- Perform the TESTING FOR AN INTERMITTENT CONDITION procedure. Refer to TESTING FOR AN INTERMITTENT CONDITION .
- CHECK THE EPS FOR LOSS OF COMMUNICATION
- With the scan tool, communicate with the EPS.
Is communication possible with the EPS?
Yes
- Go To 3
No
- Perform the COMMUNICATION DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE. Refer to COMMUNICATION DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE .
- With the scan tool, communicate with the EPS.
- CHECK THE DATA VALUES IN THE EPS AND PAM
- With the scan tool, communicate with the EPS and PAM and check for any missing, incorrect sensor, data values, or SNA (Signal Not Available) inputs.
Were there any problems found?
Yes
- Repair the missing or incorrect data values in the EPS.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Make sure that the BCM is fully up to date. If not, flash the BCM to most current update. If problem still exist, replace the BCM.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
- With the scan tool, communicate with the EPS and PAM and check for any missing, incorrect sensor, data values, or SNA (Signal Not Available) inputs.
