Diagnostic Test

  1. CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE DTC 
    1. Turn the ignition on.
    2. With the scan tool, read DTCs and record on the repair order.

      Is the DTC active or pending?

      Yes 

      • Go To  2

      No 

      • Test complete. The condition or conditions that originally set this DTC are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagrams as a guide, check all related splices and connectors for signs of water intrusion, corrosion, pushed out or bent terminals and correct pin tension.
      • Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
  2. CHECK THE (G755) DRIVER DOOR SECONDARY AJAR SWITCH CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO VOLTAGE 
    1. Turn the ignition off.
    2. Disconnect the Driver Door Latch harness connector.
    3. Turn the ignition on.
    4. Measure the voltage on the (G755) Driver Door Secondary Ajar Switch circuit.

      Is voltage above 5.2 volts?

      Yes 

      • Repair the (G755) Driver Door Secondary Ajar Switch circuit for a short to voltage.
      • Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .

      No 

      • Go To  3
  3. CHECK THE (G755) DRIVER DOOR SECONDARY AJAR SWITCH CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN 
    1. Turn the ignition off.
    2. Disconnect the BCM C6 harness connector.
    3. Measure the resistance of the (G755) Driver Door Secondary Ajar Switch circuit.

      Is the resistance below 3.0 Ohms?

      Yes 

      • Go To  4

      No 

      • Repair the (G755) Driver Door Secondary Ajar Switch circuit for an open.
      • Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
  4. CHECK THE ABILITY OF THE BCM TO READ THE DRIVER DOOR LATCH SIGNAL 
    1. Connect a jumper between ground and the (G755) Driver Door Secondary Ajar Switch circuit at the Door Latch harness connector.
    2. Turn the ignition on.
    3. With the scan tool, read DTCs.

      Does the scan tool display DTC: B25C7-SECONDARY DRIVER DOOR AJAR-CIRCUIT LOW with the jumper in place?

      Yes 

      No
