Diagnostic Test

- INSPECT THE SHIFT PADDLES
- Operate each shift paddles several times while observing that they return to the released position.
Is there a stuck or binding shift paddle?
Yes
- Replace the Paddle Shift assembly in accordance with the Service Information.
- Perform the DCSM VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to DCSM VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Go To 2
- Operate each shift paddles several times while observing that they return to the released position.
- CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE DTC
- With the scan tool, read all DTCs and record on the repair order.
- Record the Event Data and Environmental Data.
- With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
- Using the recorded Event and Environmental Data, along with the When Monitored and Set Conditions above, operate the vehicle in the conditions that set the DTC.
- With the scan tool, read TCM DTCs.
Did the DTC return?
Yes
- Replace the Paddle Shift assembly in accordance with the Service Information.
- Perform the DCSM VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to DCSM VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Perform the TESTING FOR AN INTERMITTENT CONDITION procedure. Refer to TESTING FOR AN INTERMITTENT CONDITION .
