Diagnostic Test

CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE DTC
1. With the scan tool, read Amplifier DTCs and record on the repair order.
2. With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
3. Using the When Monitored and Set Conditions above, operate the vehicle in the conditions that set the DTC.
4. With the scan tool, read Amplifier DTCs.
  Did the DTC return?
  
  Yes
  - Go To 2
  No
  - Perform the TESTING FOR AN INTERMITTENT CONDITION procedure. Refer to TESTING FOR AN INTERMITTENT CONDITION .
RIGHT REAR TWEETER SPEAKER ELECTRICAL CONNECTION CHECK
1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Disconnect the Right Rear Tweeter Speaker and Amplifier harness connectors.
3. Check for the presence of loose or damaged connections at the Right Rear Tweeter Speaker and Amplifier harness connectors.
  Were there signs of any of the connections being loose or damaged?
  
  Yes
  - Restore the correct connections.
  - Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
  No
  - Go To 3
CHECK THE RIGHT REAR TWEETER SPEAKER SIGNAL CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN/HIGH RESISTANCE
1. Measure the resistance of the Right Rear Tweeter Speaker Signal circuit between the Right Rear Tweeter Speaker harness connector and the Amplifier harness connector.
  Is the resistance below 3.0 Ohms?
  
  Yes
  - Go To 4
  No
  - Repair the Right Rear Tweeter Speaker Signal circuit for an open or high resistance.
  - Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
CHECK THE RIGHT REAR TWEETER SPEAKER FOR A SHORT TO GROUND
1. Check for continuity between ground and the Right Rear Tweeter Speaker Signal circuit at the Right Rear Tweeter Speaker harness connector.
  Was a short to ground detected?
  
  Yes
  - Repair the Right Rear Tweeter Speaker Signal circuit for a short to ground.
  - Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
  No
  - Go To 5
CHECK FOR A SHORT BETWEEN THE RIGHT REAR TWEETER SPEAKER CIRCUITS
1. Check for continuity between circuits at the Right Rear Tweeter Speaker harness connector.
  Was there a presence of a short between circuits in the Right Rear Tweeter Speaker wiring?
  
  Yes
  - Repair the short between circuits in the Right Rear Tweeter Speaker wiring.
  - Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
  No
  - Go To 6
CHECK THE RIGHT REAR TWEETER SPEAKER FOR A SHORT TO VOLTAGE
1. Turn the ignition on.
2. Measure the voltage on the Right Rear Tweeter Speaker Signal circuit at the Right Rear Tweeter Speaker harness connector.
  Is there any voltage present?
  
  Yes
  - Repair the Right Rear Tweeter Speaker Signal circuit for a short to voltage.
  - Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
  No
  - Go To 7
CHECK THE RIGHT REAR TWEETER SPEAKER OPERATION
1. Check that the Right Rear Tweeter Speaker is working correctly.
  Is the Right Rear Tweeter Speaker working correctly?
  
  Yes
  - Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
  No
  - Replace the Right Rear Tweeter Speaker in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to SPEAKER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  - Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
