Diagnostic Test

  1. CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE DTC 
    1. With the scan tool, read Amplifier DTCs and record on the repair order.
    2. With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
    3. Using the When Monitored and Set Conditions above, operate the vehicle in the conditions that set the DTC.
    4. With the scan tool, read Amplifier DTCs.

      Did the DTC return?

      Yes 

      • Go To  2

      No 

  2. LEFT REAR TWEETER/SPEAKER SPEAKER ELECTRICAL CONNECTION CHECK 
    1. Turn the ignition off.
    2. Disconnect the Left Rear Tweeter/Speaker and Amplifier harness connectors.
    3. Check for the presence of loose or damaged connections at the Left Rear Tweeter/Speaker and Amplifier harness connectors.

      Were there signs of any of the connections being loose or damaged?

      Yes 

      No 

      • Go To  3
  3. CHECK THE LEFT REAR TWEETER/SPEAKER SIGNAL CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN/HIGH RESISTANCE 
    1. Measure the resistance of the Left Rear Tweeter/Speaker Signal circuit between the Left Rear Tweeter/Speaker harness connector and the Amplifier harness connector.

      Is the resistance below 3.0 Ohms?

      Yes 

      • Go To  4

      No 

      • Repair the Left Rear Tweeter/Speaker Signal circuit for an open or high resistance?
      • Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
  4. CHECK THE LEFT REAR TWEETER/SPEAKER OPERATION 
    1. Check that the Left Rear Tweeter/Speaker is working correctly.

      Is the Left Rear Tweeter/Speaker working correctly?

      Yes 

      No
