Diagnostic Test

  1. CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE DTC 
    1. With the scan tool, read PAM DTCs and record on the repair order.
    2. With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
    3. Using the recorded Environmental Data, along with the When Monitored and Set Conditions above, operate the vehicle in the conditions that set the DTC.
    4. With the scan tool, read PAM DTCs.

      Did the DTC return?

      Yes 

      • Go To  2

      No 

  2. CHECK THE PAM DATA VALUES WITH THE SCAN TOOL 
    1. With the scan tool, check the data in the PAM for incorrect/inaccurate inputs or (SNA) Signal Not Available data values.

      Is there any incorrect/inaccurate inputs or (SNA) values?

      Yes 

      • Trace and repair the faulty input or (SNA) messages from the BCM.

      No 

      • Test complete.
