Electric Park Brake (EPB): Notes

Using the (EPB), do not block the rear wheels.

STEP	WHAT TO DO	THE RESULTS OF THE CHECKS
	Connect the diagnosis tool and check on the ABS module unit running errors: the absence of anomalies; in parameters: plausibility of all parameters	Continue to step 2	1. Failure to communicate with the ABS module	1. Restore the correct feeding of the ABS module
2. The presence of errors in ABS module unit	2. Continue as directed by the diagnosis tool

INTERVENTION

Connect the diagnosis tool and check on the ABS module unit running errors:

the absence of anomalies;

Continue to step 2

1. Failure to communicate with the ABS module

1. Restore the correct feeding of the ABS module

2. The presence of errors in ABS module unit

2. Continue as directed by the diagnosis tool

	Check the continuity/isolation of electrical connections between ABS module and actuators rear calipers	Continue to step 4	1. Faulty electrical connections	1. Restore electrical connections
		Continue to step 4	2. Electrical connections are correct: actuator anomaly	2. Replace rear brake calipers actuators. Refer to ACTUATOR, ELECTRIC PARK BRAKE, REMOVAL .

	Verify the correct operation of the static and dynamic brake	End of diagnosis	Problem persists	Replace ABS controller. Refer to INTEGRATED CONTROL UNIT (ICU), REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
