Removal And Installation: Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
  2. Locate the alarm siren module (1) on the engine compartment side of the dash panel, below the driver side windshield.
  3. Disconnect the headlamp and dash wire harness connector from the connector receptacle (2) for the siren.
  4. Remove the fastener that secures the siren mounting bracket (3) to the dash panel.
  5. Remove the siren and mounting bracket from the engine compartment as a unit.
