An ultrasonic and anti-tilt security system uses ultrasonic waves to detect motion in the cab when the vehicle is locked by remote control.
Should the vehicle be tilted to remove a wheel or towed, the vehicle's alarm will sound.
The alarm activates in the following cases:
- When an attempt is made to force open a door, the hood or the liftgate (perimeter protection)
- When the ignition system is activated outside of the security system on the vehicle
- Cutting of battery cables
The module for the system is supplied power by the battery. The module and sensors are located inside the roof light cover.
The Ultrasonic and Anti-tilt Module (UAM) and the two ultrasonic transducers cannot be adjusted or repaired. If ineffective or damaged, the entire roof lamp unit must be replaced.
