Two unique variations of a transponder key are available for this vehicle. They are:

Each transponder key used in the Sentry Key Immobilizer System (SKIS) has a transponder chip included on the circuit board beneath the cover of the integral RKE transmitter. In addition to having a blank key that must be cut to match the mechanical coding of the ignition and door lock cylinder (without PEKG) or only the door lock cylinder (with PEKG) and programmed for operation of the RKE system, each new Sentry Key has a unique transponder identification code that is permanently programmed into it by the manufacturer, and which must be programmed into the Body Control Module (BCM) (without PEKG) or the Radio Frequency Hub (RFH) (with PEKG) to be recognized by the SKIS as a valid key.

The Sentry Key transponder cannot be adjusted or repaired. If ineffective or damaged, the entire key and RKE transmitter or FOBIK unit must be replaced.
