The Sentry Key antenna (2) is used only on vehicles that are not equipped with the optional Passive Entry Keyless Go (PEKG) system. The antenna is located on the right side of the steering column adjacent to the ignition switch (1) and is concealed beneath the steering column shrouds. The housing for the antenna is a molded plastic halo-like ring. When the antenna ring is properly installed, it is secured around the circumference of the ignition lock cylinder (3) housing by three retainers integral to the antenna housing. A single connector receptacle is also integral to the antenna housing and is connected to the vehicle electrical system through a dedicated take out and connector of the steering column wire harness.

The Sentry Key antenna cannot be adjusted or repaired. If ineffective or damaged, the entire antenna unit must be replaced.
