Removal And Installation: Removal

- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
- Using a small flat bladed tool, carefully release the top clips on each side of the upper mirror trim (1a). Rotate the top downward and remove.
- By hand, lift to release the clips (1b) and remove the middle mirror trim.
- By hand, pull downward to release the clips (2b) and remove the lower mirror trim (2a).NOTE:
Be careful not to damage the bracket that is bonded to the windshield, if the bracket is broken the windshield will need to be replaced.
- Disconnect the wire harness connector (1) from the Light Rain Sensor Module (LRSM) (3a).
- Remove the retaining clip (2a) by releasing the side hooks, inserting a screwdriver in the openings (2b).
- Remove the LRSM (3a) from the housing (3b) on the windshield.
