Diagnostic Test

CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE DTC
1. With the scan tool, read Forward Facing Camera Module (FCCM) DTCs and record on the repair order.
  Is the DTC active?
  
  Yes
  - Go To 2
  No
  - The condition or conditions that originally set this DTC are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagrams as a guide, check all related splices and connectors for signs of water intrusion, corrosion, pushed out or bent terminals, and correct pin tension and repair as necessary. If no problems are found, test complete.
  - Perform the FORWARD FACING CAMERA VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to FORWARD FACING CAMERA VERIFICATION TEST .
CHECK FOR RELATED CONDITIONS
1. With the scan tool, read the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) ambient air temperature.
  Is the ambient air temperature above 105° C (221° F)?
  
  Yes
  - Move the vehicle to a cooler location and recheck.
  - Perform the FORWARD FACING CAMERA VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to FORWARD FACING CAMERA VERIFICATION TEST .
  No
  - Using the schematics as a guide, check the FFCM pins, terminals, and connectors for corrosion, damage, or terminal push out. Pay particular attention to all power and ground circuits and repair as necessary. If no problems are found, replace the FFCM in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to MODULE, FORWARD FACING CAMERA (FFCM), REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  - Perform the FORWARD FACING CAMERA VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to FORWARD FACING CAMERA VERIFICATION TEST .
