HVAC Module Self Learn Procedure

If the HVAC Module is replaced, the actuator positioning must be relearned to ensure proper operation. If this procedure is not performed, a DTC may be set.

With the scan tool under the Misc. Functions tab, perform the Self Learning Motors Test or the Actuator Calibration routine depending on the model year.

If a scan tool is not available, perform the following procedure:

Turn the Ignition to the RUN position for a minimum of 10 seconds.
Set left temperature display to 63F, (17.5C).
Press AUTO button one time (current state is not important, just press once).
Set left temperature display to 65F, (18.5C).
Press AUTO Button again.

NOTE:

Both temperature displays should start to flash simultaneously, indicating that the Actuator Calibration is in progress. Once calibration is complete, both temperature displays will remain lit continuously, indicating that calibration is complete.
