Removal And Installation: Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the air cleaner body. Refer to BODY, AIR CLEANER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION, 1.3L .

  3. Disconnect the wire harness connector (1) from the OBD vent valve.

  4. Remove the OBD vent valve from the mounting tab (1) on the intake manifold.
  5. Remove the fuel vapor hose (2a) from the OBD vent valve (2b).
