Removal And Installation: Removal

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  2. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
  3. Remove the catalytic converter. Refer to CONVERTER, CATALYTIC, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

  4. Remove the bolt (1a) and the heat shield (1b).

  5. Disconnect the wiring harness connector (1) from the Camshaft Position (CMP) sensor.

  6. Remove the CMP sensor (1) complete with O-ring.
