Removal And Installation: Removal

- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
- Remove the catalytic converter. Refer to
CONVERTER, CATALYTIC, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
.
- Remove the bolt (1a) and the heat shield (1b).
- Disconnect the wiring harness connector (1) from the Camshaft Position (CMP) sensor.
- Remove the CMP sensor (1) complete with O-ring.
