Removal And Installation: Removal

WARNING:

Do not open the radiator draincock with the system hot and under pressure. Serious burns from coolant can occur.

  1. Remove the engine cover. Refer to COVER, ENGINE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  2. Remove the battery. Refer to BATTERY, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  3. Drain the cooling system. Refer to DRAINING AND FILLING THE COOLING SYSTEM - 2.4L  .
  4. Disconnect the engine coolant temperature sensor wire harness connector (1).

  5. Remove the engine coolant temperature sensor (2).
