Diagnostic Test

  1. DETERMINE ACTIVE OR STORED DTC 
    NOTE:

    Make sure the battery is fully charged.

    1. Turn the ignition on.
    2. Perform ORC module reset. Access the Miscellaneous Function menu from the ORC ECU Overview screen on the scan tool to perform this operation.
    3. Using the scan tool, read ORC DTCs.

      Is the DTC active or stored?

      ORC - ACTIVE DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) 

      • Go To  2

      ORC - STORED DTC 

  2. CHECK FOR ADDITIONAL ACTIVE SQUIB DTCS 
    1. Using the scan tool, read ORC DTCs.

      Are there squib specific DTCs set as active in addition to the current DTC?

      Yes 

      • Repair all other active squib specific DTCs before repairing the current DTC.

      No 

      • Go To  3
  3. USE THE SCAN TOOL TO IDENTIFY THE COUPLED CIRCUITS 
    1. Using the scan tool, identify the two or more Squib circuits that read SET.

      Are two or more Squib circuits DTCs set?

      Yes 

      • Repair the two or more Squib circuits for a Squib Circuit Coupling condition.
      • Perform the RESTRAINTS SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to RESTRAINTS SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST .
