Removal And Installation: Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the steering column. Refer to COLUMN, REMOVAL .

  3. Working under the instrument panel, remove the fasteners (1) that secure the carrier reinforcement bracket (2) to the instrument panel carrier. Remove carrier bracket (2) from the vehicle.

  4. Disconnect the wire harness connector (2) from the Long Term Evolution 2 (LTE2) antenna and bracket (1).
  5. Remove the fasteners (3) securing the LTE2 antenna (1) to the instrument panel carrier.

  6. Remove the LTE2 antenna and bracket from the vehicle.
