Removal And Installation: Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative cable from the battery. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector before disconnecting the negative cable from the battery.
  2. Remove the liftgate trim panel. Refer to PANEL, TRIM, LIFTGATE, REMOVAL .

  3. Using a suitable tool from inside the liftgate, release the retaining tabs (1) of the Rear View Camera (RVC) (2) bezel from the liftgate and pull the bezel out of the liftgate.

  4. Disconnect the liftgate jumper wire harness connector (1) from the RVC and remove the RVC and bezel from the vehicle.
  5. Remove the fasteners (2) that secure the RVC to the RVC bezel.
  6. Remove the RVC from the RVC bezel.
