Description And Operation: Description
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2020 Jeep Renegade. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
A Rear View Camera (RVC) is standard equipment in some markets and optional in other markets. The image from the system appears on the radio display when reversing. The image is displayed with lines representing the space occupied by the vehicle and the lines are automatically adapted to the steering wheel rotation.
The RVC, which is located on the liftgate, produces a high resolution image with greater clarity and sharpness to identify any obstacles.
The RVC communicates with the Body Control Module (BCM) via the Local Interface Network (LIN)2.
The RVC cannot be adjusted or repaired. If the RVC is damaged or ineffective, it must be replaced.
