Removal And Installation: 4X4: Removal

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  2. Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to REMOVAL .
  3. Remove the rear brake rotor. Refer to ROTOR, BRAKE, REAR, REMOVAL .
  4. Remove the three brake rotor shield bolts and remove the brake rotor shield.
  5. Remove the rear hub and bearing assembly. Refer to HUB AND BEARING, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

  6. Remove the wheel speed sensor bolt (1) and the wheel speed sensor.

  7. Remove the rear trailing link bolt (1).
  8. Remove the rear lower control arm bolt (2).
  9. Remove the front lower control arm bolt (3) and DISCARD  .

  10. Remove the rear strut lower bolts (1).

  11. Remove the rear knuckle (1) from the vehicle.
