Removal And Installation: Removal

NOTE:

Removal of the tail lamp assembly is required for bulb replacement.

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.

  2. If equipped with access cover (1a), remove it, releasing the internal retainers (1b) and continue to step 4.

  3. If equipped with access trim cover (1a), remove it, releasing the internal retainers (1b).

  4. Disconnect the wire harness connector (2) then remove the fastener (1) securing the tail lamp assembly.

  5. Remove the tail lamp (1) from the vehicle.

  6. If required, remove the fasteners (1a) securing the bulb holder (1b) to the tail lamp assembly.

  7. Remove the bulb (1) from the holder.
