Removal And Installation: Removal

NOTE:
Removal of the tail lamp assembly is required for bulb replacement.
- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
- If equipped with access cover (1a), remove it, releasing the internal retainers (1b) and continue to step 4.
- If equipped with access trim cover (1a), remove it, releasing the internal retainers (1b).
- Disconnect the wire harness connector (2) then remove the fastener (1) securing the tail lamp assembly.
- Remove the tail lamp (1) from the vehicle.
- If required, remove the fasteners (1a) securing the bulb holder (1b) to the tail lamp assembly.
- Remove the bulb (1) from the holder.
