Theory Of Operation

For vehicles with an Automatic Transmission, the Daytime Running Lamps (DRL) illuminate when the engine is On, the Parking Brake is released, the Headlamps are Off, and the Automatic Transmission Gear Selector Lever is in any position, except PARK. For vehicles with a Manual Transmission, the DRL will operate when the engine is On, the Parking Brake is released, the Headlamps are Off and the Transmission Gear Selector Lever is in any position.
