Door Open Indicator Always On

After performing the initial test, the doors open indicator, located on the Instrument Panel Cluster, is always on.

  Check the correct closure of the four doors Continue to Step 1 Doors not properly closed Ensure the doors close properly
1 CHECK WITH DIAGNOSTIC TOOL Result OK Result Not OK Action
  With the diagnostic scan tool, check in the Instrument Panel Cluster the absence of errors and the presence of the parameters Continue to Step 2 1. the scan tool cannot connect to the instrument panel cluster

2. Proceed as indicated by the diagnostic tool
2 CHECK WITH DIAGNOSTIC TOOL Result OK Result Not OK Action
  With the diagnostic scan tool, check in the Body Control Module (BCM) for the absence of errors and the variation of the parameter for the state of the doors Continue to Step 4 The parameter values do not change Continue to Step 3

  Check the operation of the switches on the door motors
Check the ground insulation of the connection between the switches and door inputs to the BCM
Continue to Step 4 1. Switch defective
2. Wiring with imperfect ground insulation
1. Replace switch
2. Restore the wiring insulation
