Removal And Installation: Removal

- Remove the transmission from the vehicle. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Drain the fluid from the transmission.
- Remove the torque converter from the transmission.
- Using a suitable punch tool and hammer, punch a hole in the center of the metal casing of the seal.
- Using a suitable dent puller (2) threaded into the hole in the seal, remove the seal (1) from the bore in the center of the bellhousing.
