Removal And Installation: Removal

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  2. Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to REMOVAL .

  3. Remove the lower control arm to knuckle bolt (1).
  4. Pivot the lower control arm down to disengage the ball joint stud (3) from the steering knuckle (4).
  5. Remove the three ball joint bolts (2).
  6. Remove the ball joint (3).
