Removal And Installation: Installation

NOTE:

Replacement of the O-ring seal is required anytime an A/C pressure transducer is removed. Failure to replace the rubber O-ring seal may result in a refrigerant system leak.

  1. Lubricate a NEW  rubber O-ring seal with clean refrigerant oil and install it onto the fitting.
    NOTE:

    Use only the specified O-ring seal as it is made of special material for the refrigerant used in the system. Use only refrigerant oil of the type required for the A/C compressor.

  2. Install the A/C pressure transducer onto the A/C discharge line and tighten securely.
  3. Connect the wire harness connector to the A/C pressure transducer.
  4. Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector to the negative battery cable.
  5. Evacuate the refrigerant system. Refer to R-1234YF REFRIGERANT SYSTEM EVACUATE  .
  6. Charge the refrigerant system. Refer to R-1234YF REFRIGERANT SYSTEM CHARGE  .
