CAUTION:
Use care when servicing the humidity sensor. The humidity sensor bracket cannot be serviced separately from the windshield. If the sensor bracket becomes damaged, the windshield will need to be replaced.
The Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) module uses the passenger compartment humidity value to implement the correct operating strategy to activate the compressor, set the correct amount of recirculated air, blower motor speed and exit mode, to prevent the windshield from misting up.
The humidity sensor is managed by the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) module, which receives its information and sends it via the Controller Area Network (CAN) for the modules that require it.
