The oil pressure sensor is located on the right side of the engine block. The sensor screws into the engines main oil gallery.
The oil pressure sensor is a silicon based sensing unit that measures the pressure of the engine oil.
The oil pressure sensor is a linear sensor; as pressure changes, voltage changes proportionately and returns a voltage signal to the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) that reflects oil pressure.
