Removal And Installation: Removal

- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
- Remove the engine cover. Refer to
COVER, ENGINE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
.
- Loosen but do not remove the three screws (1) from the air cleaner body cover.
- Unlock and disconnect the Inlet Air Temperature (IAT) sensor wire harness connector (2).
- Remove the CLIC E® type clamp (3) at the throttle body inlet using (special tool #10288, Pliers, Hose Clamp).
- Remove the make up air hose (5) from the clean air hose (1).
- Remove the bolt (4) that secures the clean air hose to the cylinder head cover.
- Disengage the clean air hose (1) from the throttle body inlet and remove it from the vehicle with the air cleaner body cover attached.
