Removal And Installation: Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the engine cover. Refer to COVER, ENGINE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION  .

  3. Loosen but do not remove the three screws (1) from the air cleaner body cover.

  4. Unlock and disconnect the Inlet Air Temperature (IAT) sensor wire harness connector (2).
  5. Remove the CLIC E®  type clamp (3) at the throttle body inlet using (special tool #10288, Pliers, Hose Clamp).
  6. Remove the make up air hose (5) from the clean air hose (1).
  7. Remove the bolt (4) that secures the clean air hose to the cylinder head cover.
  8. Disengage the clean air hose (1) from the throttle body inlet and remove it from the vehicle with the air cleaner body cover attached.
