Engine And DDCT Separation: Installation

  1. Engage the side studs and install the transmission to the engine.
  2. Install the bolts and nut fastening the transmission to the engine on the compressor side and tighten to the proper specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  3. Install the bolts and nut fastening the transmission to the engine on the starter motor side and tighten to the proper specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  4. Install the starter motor with the lower bolt tightened to the proper specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  5. Install the battery positive cable to the starter and tighten the nut to the proper specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  6. Close the protective cover for the starter electrical connections.
  7. Install the upper starter motor bolt and tighten to the proper specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  8. Fit the control unit for the catalytic converter overtemperature warning system in position and tighten the fixing nuts.
  9. Install the wire harness mounting bracket and securely tighten the nut and bolts.
