Removal And Installation: Installation

  1. Clean the pocket of the timing chain cover and clean the crankshaft end.

  2. Using the (special tool #2031500091, Installer, Crank Seal - Front) (1a), fit a new crankshaft front cover oil seal (1b).
  3. Make sure the seal is fully seated, then remove the insert tool.
  4. Install the vibration damper. Refer to DAMPER, VIBRATION, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION  .
  5. Connect the negative battery cable.
  6. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
