Removal And Installation: Installation

  1. Install the new intake side valve guides using the 1860994000 tool (1).

    2. NOTE:

    Install the new exhaust side valve guides using the 2000024700 tools (1a) and 1860994000 (1b).

  2. If the valve guides are slightly distorted during installation, ream the inner surface using a suitably-sized reamer.
  3. Measure the valve guide inner diameter after installation and the clearance with the valve; check that it is within the specified values. Refer to SPECIFICATIONS  .
