Disassembly And Assembly: Assembly

  1. Install the Multiair actuator oil supply filter and tighten to the proper specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  2. Install the spark plugs and tighten to the proper specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  3. Install the high pressure fuel pump complete with roller tappet onto the cylinder head and tighten the bolts to the proper specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  4. Install the camshaft position (CMP) sensor with heat shield and securely tighten the bolt.
  5. Install the thermostat with a NEW  O-ring and tighten the bolts to the proper specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  6. Remove the cylinder head from the Cylinder Head Overhaul Support 1860470000.
  7. Install the cylinder head. Refer to CYLINDER HEAD, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION  .
