Removal And Installation: Removal

  1. Remove the engine cover. Refer to COVER, ENGINE, REMOVAL  .

  2. Use the (special tool #10288, Pliers, Hose Clamp) to loosen the band clamp (1a) and remove the clean air hose (1b) from the air cleaner body.

  3. Loosen the captured screws (1a), disengage the rear retainers and remove the air filter cover (1b).

  4. Remove the air filter element (1).
